About the event
Sapphire Guthrie is a singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. Her poetic, warm, and lyrical songs span many contemporary genres and address themes of the human condition, society and politics, and the natural world. She is a long-time member and mentor of Allison Girvan’s choirs and a recent graduate from Selkirk College’s Music and Technology Program.
Philip Seagram is a story-teller. His songs are an alchemy of experience and imagination, inspired by his intense interest in people, nature, relationships and the questions life poses for us. Somehow, horses manage to find their way into a lot of his songs as well. His clear, authentic voice is supported by guitar, banjo, ukulele and harmonica.
Jeremy Earley is, by his own admission, a failed novelist, a semi-retired tree-planter, and a real grump—epitomized in his new EP “Love Songs of a Grouchy Mystic.” He is an amazing singer-songwriter who has toured extensively with his band Naked by the Fire, but now shifts his songwriting focus away from band arrangements and towards more introspective indie-folk.
