Taghum Hall is Hiring!
 

Part-time Administrator

Terms: 16 hours per week, 48 weeks, renewable contract

Remuneration: $25/hour to start
Start date: June 1 (negotiable)

 

Taghum Hall is a busy place. Our goal is building community through welcoming, inclusive community programs and events—and we have plenty, including cultural events, celebrations, markets, concerts, summer arts camps for kids and more! Community groups and small businesses rent the Hall and kitchen for weddings, memorials, celebrations, workshops and courses. Our children’s playground is always open for the public to enjoy. A hardworking (and fun) Board of Directors and a host of volunteers make it all happen, in addition to summer students and other funded positions when available, and a custodian.

 

Job description:

The Taghum Hall administrator must be a self-starter, able to prioritize and be flexible and adaptable. A sense of humour is an excellent attribute. Good communication skills and a friendly disposition are essential. The administrator will:
 

  • Keep regular office hours (times are negotiable)

  • Respond to emails and/or direct accordinglyï‚·

  • Respond to/return phone calls and in-person inquiries

  • Manage the rentals/events calendar and other administrative duties

  • Manage Hall rentals

  • Support events planning and provide general oversight

  • Liaise with janitor and schedule shifts

  • Other duties as necessary

    The successful applicant will be a contractor to the Hall, submitting an invoice to us for payment.

8:30am - 2:00pm

At Taghum Hall, we offer all kinds of inclusive programming aimed at bringing people together.  We also rent the Hall to private users, and that helps us keep the lights on and the doors open.  Please note that Taghum Hall rentals are independent functions and are not Taghum Hall-sponsored events. ​​​
