Welcome to bright and beautiful Taghum Hall, a cultural and community cornerstone.
Here, along the shores of the Kootenay River just 10 kilometres west of Nelson, folks of all
ages come together to be entertained, learn new things, and enjoy one another.

Taghum Hall is operated by the Taghum Community Society and is supported by volunteers and by
great community goodwill. Join us for events and programs, enjoy our playground and
grounds, subscribe to our newsletter, and consider becoming a member to help keep the
Hall going and to shape its future.

On September 23 and 24, 16 writers spent two solid days at the Hall crafting their literary responses to one of two assigned themes, in the categories of fiction, creative nonfiction, and poetry series—and then they sent their work off to our three professional jurors.
